These photos are of a new truck & equipment painting facility that Tecor provided all the design work for, and the owner having a complete and updated sheet metal shop has manufactured in-house, saving many thousands of dollars, and it is exactly the way they want it.

The big truck booth is Downdraft, with Auto-Pressure, Bake Cycle, Conserve Cycle, with an attached paint mix room.

The smaller booth is Semi-Downdraft, with Auto-Pressure, Bake Cycle, Conserve Cycle, with a near by paint mix room.

The dual truck prep-station in the foreground will have a curtain surround and a dividing curtain, downdraft, with individual/dual controls and high enough for an over-the-road tractor or trailer.

The complete system is fully code compliant, and very energy efficient.

Tecor will also help with booth/mix room/prep station repairs or modifications – longer, higher, wider, convert to Downdraft, add Bake Cycle, energy saving Conserve Cycle, add Tech Lifts, etc.

These large booths, 90'W x 40'H x 82'D, are used for painting ship sections inside and out.  Painting a ship is very critical, as the paint must last for years in salt water, and a re-paint is very expensive.

​Therefore, to satisfy the paint manufacturers' application recommendations, these booths are designed with:

 

Accurately controlled heated/dehumidified make-up air for superior results regardless of weather conditions.

• Accelerated Bake cycle,

• Energy conservation cycle,

• Laminar airflow, 

• Extensive vapor & fire safety alarm/lighting system to protect the 8-10 painters.

• Triple-treated compressed air for breathing and painting use.

This project was completed without any reversals, it operates just as planned, passed all inspections without any issues, and the 2-year warranty expired with no repairs!

This special booth was designed for a label printing machine manufacturer that needed crossflow airflow due to the design of their machines.  

​

The machines are carried into the booth with a bridge crane, so the bridge crane doors on the top were added.  The booth has triple filtered supply air, and is automatically pressurized with a slight positive pressure.

 It's equipped with bake cycle and energy conservation cycle.  The product doors, and the crane slot doors are powered opening and closing.  

​

This job was complex due to existing building and equipment encumbrances, but was completed in good time with no issues.

This special system was designed for a truck body manufacturer that needed downdraft airflow to get perfect paint jobs.  The trucks with the bodies on them are prepped, blown off and edged out in the in the prep stations, which are also downdraft, with bake cycle.  Then they are moved into the downdraft bake cycle booth which is equipped with 'tech lifts', conserve cycle and accelerated cure, drive thru, etc which all together satisfies their production requirements.   

This job was very complex due to the existing building being so low, so all the equipment had to be places on the roof, etc.  The thorough engineering up front certainly paid off, and the project was also completed, commissioned and inspected on schedule with no issues.
